Blobby's Pizza Game Scholarship - This Promotion has Ended

Semper Smart Games® is sponsoring a $5,000.00 scholarship contest for young game creators between the ages of 9-17 (at the time of game submission) who develop the best original game using our Blobby’s Pizza® deck. Game rule submissions will be accepted through June 3, 2023. All submissions must be submitted using the form below.

No purchase of Blobby’s Pizza® is necessary to participate in this contest (see below).

Winning contestants will be announced in late 2023, and winning submissions will be published, with augmented content if determined appropriate by Semper Smart Games,® LLC, by 2024. All contestants must be U.S. residents. Developers are encouraged to test ideas with friends and family, but a final game submission must reflect the developer’s original work. Each contestant may submit up to two games for consideration.

First Place (one winner): $5,000

Honorable Mentions (multiple, if granted): $1,000

Criteria: Game submissions will be judged primarily on originality of thought, entertainment, and educational value. Contestants are encouraged to review previously published Blobby’s Pizza® game rules available for download here.

No purchase of Blobby’s Pizza® is necessary to participate in this contest. By downloading our guide, creators can make their own Blobby’s Pizza deck with simple school supplies (paper, scissors, and pens/markers). Game rule submissions that use the entire Blobby’s Pizza® deck are preferred. Still, other games will be considered that have minor modifications to the deck (e.g., eliminating a small number of certain cards before play).
